Most of my recording career as a session musician and recording artist has been documented with me playing a Fender or Gibson guitar until the day I saw these beautiful guitars made by Fremediti! I thought to myself, they look wonderful but how do they play and will I be able to express myself the way I’m used to or will I sound different?

Well after I sat down at the NAMM convention and played the Amphion I couldn’t believe it! I felt like I had played it for years.

Today I use it for everything! Jazz-Jazz Funk-R&B & Rock!

I ordered this archtop guitar trusting the luthier and the result met my expectations. I have always dreamed of having a guitar that sounds like an L5 in 16 inch format and Mr Fremediti has made my wishes come true.

Everything is there: playing comfort, lightness, top-notch sound and finish. I enjoy this guitar every day.

My new Fremediti Amphion is a perfect guitar for playing blues, jazz or even rockabilly. The pickups are bright and clean and the neck is smooth as silk.

A new guitar in my hands! I’ve dreamed of it for years. It’s here, and it’s even more beautiful than I imagined! Vassilis and George Fremenitis worked their magic!

For the past few months, I’ve been trying to describe to them the sound I have in my mind. But how do you talk about sound, how do you put it into words, how do you express the vibrations, the depth, the openness, the touch, the dialogue, the embrace, the coexistence with a piece of wood?

They felt and understood it all, even the things I didn’t say. They took the confused words of a songwriter who doesn’t play like the typical guitarists and translated them into a living creature with character, personality, and its own voice! It’s what I’ve been searching for and couldn’t find all these years in instrument shops around the world, where my tours took me. I entered stores in distant countries, eager, sure I’d find it. And, in the end, I found it in Patras, made by the hands of two wonderful people!

My new “Ki”

I have great respect and gratitude for instrument makers and the sanctity of their art. Fortunately, we have many excellent ones in our country (Greece). Vassilis and George left their previous jobs and dedicated themselves to making electric guitars. Their workshop has the smell of wood, the silence of focus, the commitment to their craft, and the certainty of a decision for a humble and creative life. They listen to the instrument, but they also listen to the person who will hold it. Enter their world, understand their character, feel their needs, their aesthetics, their vision. Make their guitars with respect for the artists who will live and create with them. Without advertising, without being defined by the laws of the market, they have managed to make many musicians happy in Greece and around the world. I’m one of the lucky ones!

I’m eagerly waiting to hear it through the big speakers at the first concert of our summer tour, at the Alsos Theater, the day after tomorrow, Wednesday. It will also be the first concert of “Ki”. That’s its name.

It’s a wonderful guitar.
I was able to put it through to its paces this weekend and enjoyed it.

A few days ago, I received my new “Eumelia” archtop from Fremediti Guitars.

I wanted a guitar in dimensions adapted to my body type, that would allow me to play comfortably for extended time.

As I am lucky enough to live in the same city as their workshop is located, I witnessed with my regular visits the attention in detail the Fremediti brothers pay in every build they do.

I watched several stages of their fully handmade craftsmanship and had the chance to learn the importance and the effect of each stage of the construction, in the final result of the guitar.

The wait wasn’t even three months.

My “Eumelia” is an excellent instrument, both in terms of construction and aesthetics and matches my own wishes in the best way. Unplugged the guitar has a loud and full acoustic sound, close to a regular acoustic guitar, although it is fitted with electric guitar strings. Plugged to the amp it delivers a transparent and extremely balanced expressive sound with great attack and response to the pick, performing great in the entire frequency spectrum.

It has the right presence for more modern playing, while it can deliver warm jazzy sounds by using the tone control.

It has an amazing playability and the low action setup makes it a joy to play for hours.

My absolute confidence in Fremediti Guitars, after this build, rises to new higher levels, as it is not the first guitar they build for me and once more I realize that the only thing they care about, is their commitment to deliver the best craftmanship and satisfaction to their clients.

The Fremediti Orpheus SE – Semi-hollow – Double cut is an awesome guitar.

Easy playability, with the two P90 and the hollowbody a unique sound, holds the tune (also with the bigsby) and the look is exquisite.

Not a cheap guitar, but a dream guitar and worth the money!
