Eumelia 17" - Archtop Guitar

Eumelia 17″ – archtop guitar stands out in our archtop line as the most traditional model.

We craft it using premium solid European tonewoods, detailed handwork, and earthy colors that give it a modern yet timeless look and feel.

Traditional handmade techniques shape its X-braced, tap-tuned and hand-graduated. We combine these methods with select modern elements that help Eumelia produce a warm, musical acoustic tone while maintaining excellent connectivity.

Eumelia offers exceptional comfort during play. We equip it with our patented Fremediti suspension tailpiece, custom-made from titanium alloy. It features six independent spring suspensions with different densities, one for each string, aligned with string movement.

This tailpiece avoids any contact with the top, allowing it to vibrate freely. At the same time, it provides a softer, more responsive neck feel.

We add a handmade ebony bridge with acoustic piezo pickup and a VF-01 Archtop floating pickup to expand the guitar’s tonal palette.

To preserve Eumelia’s acoustic integrity, we developed the Eumelia Control Pedal in-house. This external pedal-based system houses all the electronic wiring. By relocating the electronics, we keep the top clear of components that could interfere with resonance.

The control pedal gives players access to a broad range of acoustic and electric tones, along with full blending capability.

Eumelia pedal includes two output connectors: an XLR for use with the control pedal and a standard jack for onboard volume and tone control, mounted on the fingerrest.

Together, these features give Eumelia unmatched tonal flexibility and expressive potential.

      Features

      Hand-graduated and Tuned

Hand-graduated Archtop. This method represents the most traditional way of carving the top and back of an archtop guitar.

Our hands carve and graduate the top and back plates with precision, using various chisels and techniques. We shape both plates—especially the top with its bracing—to transmit vibrations evenly across the surface.

In the final carving stage, we begin the critical process known as “tap tone tuning.” By gently removing tiny amounts of wood, we fine-tune the thickness of each piece. We tap specific areas repeatedly and adjust until both the top and back reach the desired pitch.

Using these tuned components in the construction, the guitar delivers a louder and more resonant primary tone, along with rich overtones.

      Fremediti Eumelia Pedal

Fremediti Eumelia Pedal Fremediti Eumelia Pedal. Eumelia is the top acoustic model in our archtop line. To preserve its unique tone, we needed a way to control both the acoustic and electric pickups without adding any components to the soundboard. So, we designed an offboard control pedal, housed in an elegant custom box.

This pedal lets the player switch or blend the piezo and electric pickups. It also enables the use of active or passive EQ, making it the perfect companion for Eumelia.

      Fremediti Titanium Tailpiece

Our Fremediti titanium tailpiece suspension is a patented original design that improves the guitar’s playability.

The tailpiece includes a suspension system that absorbs a small part of the string tension when pressing the strings against the frets. This creates a "lighter" feel, especially noticeable during string bends.

The suspension mechanism does not touch the soundboard. As a result, the top vibrates and “breathes” freely, preserving the guitar’s acoustic character.

In addition, the system absorbs part of the structural stress caused by bending. This protects the delicate materials and construction used in acoustic instruments.

We machine the Fremediti tailpiece from titanium alloy. This material adds stability, reduces weight, and delivers a brighter, clearer sound.

Finally, an ebony cover with an exotic top veneer enhances the classic look of the guitar.

      Fremediti Piezo Bridge

Fremediti Piezo Bridge for our acoustic models (archtops & hollows). Height-adjustable ebony bridge with a specially designed undersaddle Fishman acoustic piezo pickup and a 1/8” ebony saddle.

The 1/8” saddle width helps achieve precise intonation by shaping the exact contact point for each string.

      Fremediti Traditional Tailpiece

Fremediti traditional tailpiece. We handcraft our traditional ebony tailpiece with a special design and integrated grounding system.

This feature eliminates the hum of pickups in guitars with wooden bridges, such as our archtop and hollow models.

In addition, its design enhances stability and preserves the natural character of the instrument.
As a result, it offers a clearer sound and more reliable performance on stage and in the studio.

      Three-piece Neck

Three-piece neck. All our guitars feature a three-piece neck.

This design increases stability and helps control the neck’s elasticity.

      VF-01 Archtop

VF-01 Archtop floating pickup. A low-profile, naturally voiced humbucking pickup for hollow and archtop guitars.

      Description
This pickup serves the true acoustic archtop purist. It requires no routing into the guitar’s top.

Its natural voicing lets the balance, warmth, and richness of a fine archtop shine through with full acoustic tone. The mount attaches to the fingerrest and avoids any contact with the guitar’s top.

Our Fremediti workshop hand-winds the VF-01 Archtop pickup. We use an Alnico 5 bar magnet, a 2-conductor shielded cable, and vacuum wax potting for squeal-free performance.

      VF-10 Jazz

Our VF-10 Jazz pickup set delivers vintage-output humbucker clarity, even under distortion.

      Description
The VF-10 Jazz offers impressive versatility and excels across a wide range of musical styles.

It combines an Alnico 5 bar magnet with a specially tuned coil wind. This setup produces glassy treble, tight bass, and slightly scooped mids, which help each note remain clear—even under high gain.

We hand-wind the VF-10 Jazz in our Fremediti workshop. It features a nickel bottom plate, a 2-conductor shielded cable, and wax potting for squeal-free performance.

      Pots Mounted to the Fingerrest

Pots Mounted to the Fingerrest. We discreetly position two mini pots under the fingerrest, keeping them entirely separate from the guitar top.

This setup preserves the top's free vibration.

Additionally, it maintains the classic aesthetic of our acoustic models (archtops & hollows) without introducing visual or structural interference.

      Pickguard mounted to the neck

Pickguard mounted to the neck. On the archtop and hollow models, we mount the floating pickup with the pickguard directly to the neck.

This setup avoids any contact with the guitar top and preserves its free vibration.

No pickup holes at hollow bodys

No pickup holes at hollow bodys. The on-board pickups install into holes made in the guitar’s soundboard. This process requires removing two sections of wood.

Such removal reduces the soundboard’s structural integrity and negatively affects its ability to vibrate freely. It also lowers the soundboard’s resistance to string tension.

To avoid this, we designed our pickups in a way that eliminates the need for holes in the soundboard.

      Wooden Binding and Purfling

Wooden Binding and Purfling. We aimed to offer impeccable aesthetics to our top-tier archtop and hollow models.

These models feature wooden bindings, multi-ply wooden purfling, and layered veneers and strips across every possible area.

We apply the same detailed craftsmanship to the f-holes, ensuring visual harmony and precision.
